One of the advantages enjoyed by Internet users is the quick and easy access to information. However, this practical benefit can easily become a disadvantage if data is collected in excess or processed, forwarded or even sold for financial gain.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been introduced to reinforce the protection of privacy, and its requirements must be strictly adhered to. We would therefore like to explain to our website users how we ensure the confidentiality of their personal data.
Data transferred through technical processes
We do not need to store your personal data for you to visit our website. You can visit our website without providing any personal data.
We will only gain access to the following data through technical processes:
- The website you visited before ours
- The date and time of your visit, and the specific pages you have visited on our website
- Your TCP / IP address
- Your operating system and browser
Intended use of the data
Your data will be collected anonymously for statistical purposes. Personal user profiles are not created during regular visits to our website. If we obtain personal data through our special services (e.g. our contact form), we will generally only collect the data required to provide such services (e.g. email correspondence). If we ask you for more data, you are obviously free to provide this information.
We will only store your personal data for the duration of the process for which this information is required.
Any non-personal data collected through technical processes will be deleted after 14 days.
Will my personal data be transferred to third parties?
We will not forward, disclose, transfer, sell or otherwise market your personal data to other companies or institutions in Germany or abroad. An exception will only be made in cases where we are obliged to provide such information by law or by order of the court.
Right to access data and right to object to data processing
You have the right to request access to the data we hold on you (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right and opportunity to object to the use or transfer of any personal data you have provided to us at any time without stating your reasons for the objection (Art. 17 GDPR).
Links to other websites
We have no control over the observance of data protection regulations on the websites that can be accessed via links on our website.
Cookies are data sets that are stored on an Internet user’s computer and can be used for identification purposes. We currently do not use any cookies except Google Analytics.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). This involves the collection and storage of data for the creation of pseudonymised user profiles. These user profiles are used to analyse user behaviour and improve our website and tailor it to our users’ needs.
You may object to the collection, usage and storage of data for the purpose of web analysis at any time with future effect by configuring your browser software to prevent the installation of cookies; please note, however, that you may not be able to fully use all features of our website as a result.
You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing data on your use of this website (including parts of your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Prevent Google Analytics from tracking me
This website uses Mouseflow, a web analysis tool provided by Mouseflow ApS (Flaesketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark), to record randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymous IP addresses). This creates a log of mouse movements, mouse clicks and keyboard interaction to recreate randomly selected individual visits to our website (so-called “session replays”) and to analyse these in the form of heat maps and develop potential improvements for this website. The cookie generated by Mouseflow will be deleted after 90 days. The data collected by Mouseflow is not personal; it will not be disclosed to third parties and will be kept for a period of 3 months. This data will be stored and processed within the EU. If you do not want Mouseflow to collect your data, you can object to this on all websites that use Mouseflow by clicking on the following link:
Updates to this Privacy Statement
If we launch new products or services, if we change our online processes, or if developments are made to Internet and IT security technology, this Privacy Statement will be updated accordingly.
