Pontoons are the reinforced concrete floats used to support Floating Homes in the water. They’ve been used successfully in hydraulic engineering for several decades. Depending on the local conditions, pontoons can be designed as a continuous trough or as a modular system consisting of several floats. Our nodular pontoon system is made up of several tightly bonded pontoons. The pontoons’ high weight and low centre of gravity ensures a peaceful setting in the water.

The pontoons are made of impermeable, high-performance concrete to ensure permanent waterproofing. Their monolithic design (i.e. production in one single unit) prevents the appearance of construction joints. This construction method also ensures an extremely high degree of stability. A crane is used to position the pontoon modules side by side in the water. The modules are then connected using our specially developed solution.
